History

It is under this premise that the Clop brothers, Gustavo and Rubén, decide to resurrect the family business that was founded by their great grandfather, José Clop, and boosted by his father, Don Eraclio Ricardo Clop.
Following their vision, the number one priority was to find the best site for the production of premium wines of great depth and unique personality.

History

1885
José Clop Arrives to Argentina:
From the municipality of Solsona in Lleida, Catalonia, José emigrates to Mendoza, Argentina.
1915
Our First Winery
José builds the first winery in the Clop family history.
1991
First States
Ricardo, José’s grandchild, takes up the family viticulture history and acquires new states.
2002
New Winery
Ricardo and his sons, Rubén and Gustavo, buy the current winery.
2005
Our first production
Rubén y Gustavo take the challenge of producing high-quality wines.
2007
First Export
We perform our first export to Mauritius Island, and from there we start an export growth leading us to more than 10 countries today.
2015
Best Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon
Decanter awards our Cabernet Sauvignon Los Clop Paraje Altamira 2015 with 97 points, being this the highest mark in Argentina.
2015
Agrelo States
Moved by our aim to produce high-quality wines, we acquire 100 ha in Agrelo, one of the most recognized areas to grow grapes.

This way, the brothers decide to invest mostly in the two oases where the best vines are grown: Agrelo and Valle de Uco
